Overview
The Universal Crafting System, is a crafting system that allows you to craft items and objects for all White Box Gaming games. Unlike traditional games that only allow you craft items for that specific game/product. The Universal Crafting System allows you to craft anything you want as long as you meet the crafting requirements:
- Recipe
- Ingredients
- Crafting Level
In most White Box Gaming games, you will have access to all your recipes and the ability to craft anything for any White Box Gaming game. Some items can even be used across other games such as “Runes”. Runes are a fundamental item for most games and require the Gemology skill. You can learn more about Runes, in the Items section or link here.
Crafting Skills
The Universal Crafting System currently has 9 different skills to work on. All games featuring a crafting system will use some or all of these skills:
- Alchemy
- Art
- Carpentry
- Electronics
- Engineering
- Gemology
- Masonry
- Metallurgy
- Wizardry
Rune Master for example, focuses on Gemology only and you can only items related to the game currently. However, your Gemology skill will remain the same. Any skill experience obtained will be for your entire account and not limited to the game itself.
Crafting Levels
Currently the level cap for all crafting is set to level 25. However, skills have inner caps themselves and you cannot gain experience from crafting an item if it is 5 levels higher than your current crafting skill level. You will be able to craft the item, but no experience will be gained. If your crafting level is 5 levels or less than the item you are crafting, you will gain experience and you have a chance to gain a bonus. Currently the skill levels progression is as follows:

Crafting Bonus
For every level above your required crafting level for the item or object, you have a chance for a “bonus”. In Rune Master for example, you can craft two or three of the same Rune as a bonus. Other crafting bonuses may include enhanced items or unique items. The Crafting Bonus is based on a random value preset based on the difference between your current skill level and the required skill level up to 5 levels above the required skill level. The higher your crafting level, the more likely you are to get a crafting bonus.
Crafting Items
Crafted items are items crafted by players in game and can be used on various White Box Gaming games. The most common crafted item is “Runes”. These are used in several different games for various uses. Its also important to remember, if you consume an item, you consume it for all your games. For example, if I use a Rune to craft another Rune, I have consumed that Rune for not just this game but my entire account inventory. There are Pro’s and Con’s to this system:
- Pro
- Access to all items
- Craft items for other games
- Use items for other games
- Collect items for other games
- Con
- Consume items quicker
- Recipe driven
Recipes
Recipes can be found in random item drops in most White Box Gaming games or purchased in the store using WBG Coins. Recipe drops are 100% random and there is no guarantee you will get a recipe you don’t already have unlocked. Recipes are not an item and currently can not be traded. Certain games may restrict which recipes it loads in its in-game crafting system. Some games may reduce the recipes loaded to prevent confusion or endless scrolling.
Future Development
This article is subject to change and will be updated as new items and adjustments are made to the Universal Crafting System. The WBG Mobile App will release an update in the near future allowing you to craft items and objects for all games and list all your unlocked recipes. Additionally, it will allow you to trade items with other White Box Gaming players.
